To nurture our spiritual growth and build community, Eno Friends participate enthusiastically in a number of meeting activities:
- Monthly educational forums for adults that are sometimes appropriate for the youth as well, held on the first Sunday of each month before meeting for worship
- Potluck lunches after meeting for worship on the second Sunday of each month
- Midweek fellowship on Zoom, with worship sharing about the monthly queries and other spiritual topics
- Thursday morning walks at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trail
- Friendly Eights social gatherings
We also hold special activities in recognition of major events, such as Christmas and the International Day of Peace.
In addition, we volunteer with a number of community groups whose values reflect our Quaker testimonies:
- Prison Ministry at Orange Correctional Center and Reentry House Plus
- Support food security through PORCH, Hillsborough Community Garden, the Food for Schools snacks program, and other efforts
- Orange Congregations in Mission
- Advance racial equity and justice here and in nearby communities
- Raise awareness of racial terror through Orange County Community Remembrance Coalition, coordinating with the Equal Justice Institute
- Alternatives to Violence Project
- Promote LGBTQ+ justice and gender equity
- Friends Committee on North Carolina Legislation
- Maintain the historic Quaker cemetery
